Jaipur Dairy is undertaking a major modernization and expansion programme worth ₹133 crore aimed at strengthening milk processing capacity, improving operational efficiency, and supporting future growth in milk procurement across Rajasthan. According to officials, the investment includes the installation of advanced processing equipment, modernization of existing facilities, and expansion of milk handling infrastructure to meet rising demand for dairy products. As part of the project, Jaipur Dairy’s milk processing capacity will increase from 15 lakh litres per day (LLPD) to 20 LLPD, representing a 33% rise in capacity.
The expansion plan also includes upgrading packaging facilities, strengthening cold-chain infrastructure, and enhancing product manufacturing capabilities. Dairy officials stated that the modernization initiative is designed to improve product quality, reduce operational bottlenecks, and support higher volumes of milk collected from farmers. The investment is expected to benefit thousands of dairy producers linked to the cooperative network while enabling Jaipur Dairy to respond more effectively to growing consumer demand for milk and value-added dairy products.
Industry observers note that the project reflects the broader trend of dairy cooperatives investing in processing infrastructure to improve competitiveness and increase value creation across the dairy supply chain. Once completed, the upgraded facilities are expected to enhance efficiency, strengthen milk procurement operations, and support the long-term growth of Rajasthan’s dairy sector. The ₹133 crore investment underscores Jaipur Dairy’s commitment to expanding its manufacturing footprint while reinforcing its role in one of India’s largest milk-producing regions.
