The state-of-the-art facility is equipped with modern automated production systems and advanced quality control infrastructure to ensure consistent product quality and operational efficiency. The plant has an installed production capacity of approximately 24 million litres per annum, with scalability provisions to expand capacity in line with future demand growth.

Heritage Foods’ Ice cream business currently generates annual revenues of approximately ₹100 crore, and the commissioning of the Shamirpet facility significantly enhances the company’s ability to scale operations up to five times the current level over the next seven to eight years in the ice cream category.

Strategic Rationale

The commissioning of the Shamirpet ice cream facility is expected to strengthen Heritage Foods’ growth trajectory through the following strategic advantages:

Expansion in Value-Added Dairy Portfolio: The facility reinforces Heritage’s focus on high-margin value-added dairy products, particularly ice cream and desserts, which are witnessing strong consumer demand across urban and semi-urban markets.

Strengthening Distribution Reach: The facility will support the company’s expanding distribution network across South and Western India, enabling faster supply & improved serviceability.

Strong Growth Tailwinds: India’s ice cream market is witnessing strong structural growth driven by rising disposable incomes, premiumisation trends, and increasing consumption of packaged dairy products.

Management Commentary

Commenting on the inauguration, Mrs. N Bhuvaneswari, Vice-Chairperson & Managing Director from Heritage Foods Limited said: “The commissioning of our Shamirpet ice cream manufacturing facility marks an important milestone in Heritage Foods’ growth journey.
