Vijaya Dairy Expands Portfolio in Vijayawada

Krishna Milk Union has launched a new range of Vijaya Dairy products in Vijayawada, strengthening its presence in Andhra Pradesh and targeting growing demand for quality, hygienic, and value-added dairy offerings.
The expansion builds on Vijaya Dairy’s strong brand legacy across South India, known for its farmer-linked sourcing model and product reliability. (AgriMoon)
The product portfolio includes a wide range of offerings such as milk, ghee, flavoured milk, paneer, curd, buttermilk, ice cream, sweets, and lassi, catering to evolving consumer preferences for diversified dairy products.
To support this expansion, a new greenfield automated dairy plant has been set up at Veeravalli near Vijayawada on a 27-acre site, with an initial processing capacity of 3–4 lakh litres per day (LLPD), scalable to 5 LLPD and further expandable to 6 LLPD.
The facility integrates advanced technologies including automated milk processing systems, homogenisation, separation units, 700 TR refrigeration, SCADA-based digital monitoring, cold storage (0–5°C), blast freezing, and CIP hygiene systems, ensuring efficiency and quality compliance.
Designed and commissioned within four months, the plant addresses earlier challenges such as high labour costs, utility consumption, and hygiene standards, while improving operational efficiency and reducing resource usage.
The project is expected to boost milk procurement from local farmers, generate rural employment, and strengthen the regional dairy value chain, while enabling Vijaya Dairy to expand into new markets like Hyderabad and scale its footprint beyond traditional strongholds.
