UAE to launch 140 new dairy & food products

The UAE is set to introduce 140 new locally produced food products over 2026 and 2027, as part of a strategic push to strengthen domestic supply chains and reduce reliance on imports amid global disruptions. The initiative focuses on scaling production across dairy, poultry, and processed food categories, reinforcing the country’s long-term food security agenda.
The expansion will include a wide range of products such as milk, cheese, butter, and baked goods, aimed at boosting local manufacturing capacity and ensuring stable supply for consumers. The program is being driven by national food production entities, with leadership highlighting its role in enhancing supply resilience and supporting integrated food value chains.
The move comes as the UAE intensifies efforts to build self-sufficiency, stabilise food availability, and mitigate external supply shocks, particularly in a volatile global environment. By increasing local output and diversifying production, the country aims to secure consistent supply, improve price stability, and strengthen its position as a regional food hub.
The rollout of these 140 products marks a significant step toward localising food production, expanding dairy and processed food capacity, and reinforcing long-term food security infrastructure in the region.
