Tripura has secured 37 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) worth approximately ₹4,938.75 crore across the dairy, livestock, poultry and fisheries sectors during the Destination Tripura Business Conclave 2026, held in Agartala on July 9–10.
The investment proposals, signed by the Animal Resources Development (ARD) Department and the Fisheries Department, are expected to significantly transform the state's agriculture-allied sectors by creating employment, strengthening rural livelihoods and reducing dependence on imports of milk, meat, eggs and fish-related products. The proposed investments include projects in modern dairy farming, livestock development, poultry production, fisheries, aquaculture, feed manufacturing, processing infrastructure and cold-chain logistics, reflecting strong private-sector confidence in Tripura's agri-food ecosystem. The state government expects these initiatives to enhance production capacity, improve value addition and strengthen supply chain infrastructure across the dairy and fisheries sectors. (TripuraInfo)
The investment commitments also contribute to the broader success of the Destination Tripura Business Conclave 2026, where the state attracted 342 MoUs with total investment intentions of around ₹1.21 lakh crore across multiple sectors, positioning Tripura as an emerging investment destination in Northeast India.
