Tenure Extension Details
Recent Extension: Dr. Shah's tenure was recently extended for a further period of 3.5 years by the Government of India.
Previous Extension: This follows an earlier extension for one year, effective from January 1, 2025, or until a regular appointment is made, whichever occurred first.
Initial Appointment: He originally took over the additional charge of the post on June 1, 2021, after serving as an Executive Director.
Role and Contributions
Dr. Shah, a qualified Dairy Technologist and a Post Graduate in Rural Management, has over 39 years of experience in the dairy sector.
He oversees strategic initiatives and operations at NDDB, which plays a crucial role in India's dairy development and cooperative movement.
He is also the Chairman of several other premier institutions, including Mother Dairy Fruit & Vegetable Pvt Ltd (MDFVPL), IDMC Limited, and NDDB Dairy Services.
Internationally, he serves as a Board Member of the International Dairy Federation (IDF) and Member Secretary of its Indian National Committee.
