Chandrababu Naidu Lays Foundation for Shreeja dairy in Kuppam
In a significant boost to Rayalaseema’s industrial landscape, N. Chandrababu Naidu virtually laid the foundation stones for seven major industrial units in his home constituency of Kuppam, Andhra Pradesh, representing a combined investment of ₹2,203 crore. The projects, covering sectors including food-processing and dairy, have the potential to generate over 22,000 direct and indirect jobs.
Among the units, a notable announcement is made by Shreeja Dairy which is setting up an integrated dairy and cattle-feed facility with an investment of around ₹290 crore, sourcing local milk and supporting female dairy-farm entrepreneurs. The government has allotted 241 acres of land for the cluster of seven companies, with further announcements of eight more units in the pipeline worth ₹6,339 crore and targeting another 43,000 jobs. Mother Dairy will also set up a ₹260-crore juice and pulp processing facility,
For India’s dairy-value chain, the move opens new opportunities — local milk procurement, dairy-protein manufacturing, specialised feed plants and connectivity to food processing hubs.
