Bihar to Form Milk Producers’ Committees in Every Village
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has announced a comprehensive plan to strengthen the state’s dairy sector by establishing Milk Producers’ Committees in every village within the next two years. The initiative aims to boost milk production, improve market linkages and enhance farmers’ incomes across rural Bihar, aligning with broader rural livelihood and dairy development objectives.
Under the new strategy, these village-level committees will function as grassroots platforms for milk collection, quality control, price discovery and aggregation of produce.
