Godrej Agrovet to invest Rs 150 cr in Telangana dairy plant

By DairyNews7x7•Published on December 10, 2025

Godrej Agrovet’s dairy subsidiary, Creamline Dairy Products Ltd. (Godrej Jersey), has announced a ₹150-crore investment to set up a modern dairy processing facility in Telangana. The announcement was made after the company signed an MoU with the state government during the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025.

The upcoming facility will be built on a 40-acre site and is expected to create over 300 direct jobs within the next three years. The plant will focus on producing a wide range of value-added dairy products, including milk, curd, paneer and other protein-rich categories that continue to show strong consumer growth across the region.

With this new investment, the Godrej Industries Group’s cumulative commitments in Telangana have crossed ₹10,000 crore, reflecting the state’s emergence as a hub for food and agri-processing. The company highlighted that rising urban consumption, expanding retail networks and sustained double-digit growth in value-added dairy segments were key reasons behind this expansion.

The project is expected to deepen milk procurement and strengthen the supply chain in South-Central India. With enhanced processing capacity, the move could improve market access and create more stable offtake opportunities for dairy farmers in Telangana and adjoining districts.

According to the company, the new plant will also support allied sectors such as cold-chain logistics, packaging and transportation, generating indirect employment and boosting the local rural economy.
