Baby Formula Recall in Singapore Over Toxin Risk

Several batches of infant and toddler milk formula, including products from Nestlé, have been recalled in Singapore after authorities detected the presence of cereulide toxin, a bacterial toxin that can cause nausea and vomiting in children.
According to the Singapore Food Agency, two additional batches were recently recalled, taking the total number of affected batches to 11 since January 2026. The contamination is linked to a common ingredient used across multiple products, prompting precautionary recalls and ongoing investigations.
Authorities have issued a strict advisory urging parents not to use the affected formula products, although no new cases of illness have been reported in Singapore so far. The recall is part of a wider global action, as similar Nestlé infant formula products have also been withdrawn in Europe and other regions due to the same safety concern.
The company has acknowledged the issue and stated it is addressing quality control and supply chain concerns, while regulators continue monitoring the situation to ensure consumer safety.
