UK Opens Milk Sector Survey for Fairer Supply Chain
The UK’s Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) has launched a new milk sector survey, inviting dairy farmers, processors and industry bodies to share feedback on how the supply chain is functioning amid current challenges.
The short survey, which takes around 10 minutes to complete, is now open and will close on 20 April 2026. It focuses on key areas including existing regulations, the role of the Agricultural Supply Chain Adjudicator (ASCA), and how relationships between producers and purchasers have operated during this period.
Defra aims to use the insights to assess what is working well and identify where further regulatory support or adjustments may be needed, ultimately strengthening fairness and transparency across the milk supply chain.
