VRS Foods, the parent company of dairy brand Paras, is targeting a turnover of ₹5,000 crore within the next five years as it expands its consumer-facing business and taps growing demand for value-added and protein-rich dairy products.
The company currently generates around ₹3,000–3,200 crore in annual turnover, with approximately 70% coming from the institutional or B2B segment and 30% from B2C operations. VRS Foods plans to increase the B2C contribution to 50% of turnover over the next five years, according to Chief Marketing Officer VPS Malik.
The company has expanded its market presence from 120 cities to 250 cities over the past year, with a focus on increasing its footprint in southern and central India. Its expansion has reached markets including Chennai, Bengaluru, Pune and Ahmedabad, while its manufacturing network spans Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.
VRS Foods is also planning significant capital expenditure, including a new manufacturing plant in Uttar Pradesh and additional investments in dairy categories such as cheese and protein products. The company has allocated ₹100 crore to its cheese business under the Galacia brand, which targets the hospitality and institutional food-service segment.
The company is strengthening its presence across consumer categories including paneer and cow ghee, while continuing to operate in dairy ingredients such as whey protein concentrates, lactose and whey. This reflects a strategy that combines consumer-facing branded products with its established institutional business.
The expansion comes amid broader growth in India's organised dairy sector. CRISIL Ratings expects organised dairy companies to record 13–15% revenue growth in FY27, supported by volume growth, staggered price increases and rising demand for value-added products. CRISIL also expects demand for protein-rich and probiotic dairy offerings to grow at more than 20%, although these categories currently account for less than 5% of the market.
For VRS Foods, the planned shift toward a 50% B2C contribution, wider geographic distribution and greater emphasis on value-added dairy products form the main components of its five-year growth strategy.
