Milma Weighs Milk Price Hike Amid Cost Pressures

Currently, retail milk sells at ₹52/litre, while farmers receive ₹42–48/litre based on quality. Production costs now average around ₹65/litre, exceeding procurement rates Milma procures an impressive 1.26 million litres/day and sells 1.7 million litres/day, sourcing additional milk from Karnataka and Maharashtra
Previously, Malabar Milma had allocated ₹27.2 crore in FY 24–25 for farmer support, and the TRCMPU sponsored a ₹8/litre incentive for April 2025 milk production.
