Innoterra to expand MilkLane’s cattle feed business
Prefer on

Innoterra, a Swiss-Indian food and technology platform with a focus on agriculture, is scaling up the cattle feed operations of its dairy subsidiary, MilkLane.

With a strategic move into the cattle feed sector, Innoterra is expanding MilkLane’s Aayush Cattle Feed product line to target the premium market segment.

As part of this strategy, Innoterra is introducing two new premium products—Aayush Supreme and Aayush Vardhan.

The company, which has a strong presence in southern India, is now extending its reach to the western regions by expanding its sales and distribution network. It already has a solid foothold in Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu.

Expansion Plans

“With the planned addition of two new production facilities and an ambitious expansion strategy, we aim to double our network of farmers, retailers, and distributors by FY2025. This growth will not only address the increasing demand for high-quality cattle feed but will also further our mission to support smallholder farmers, enhance milk yield, and contribute to a healthier food supply chain nationwide,” said Avinash Kasinathan, Head of India Business at Innoterra.

The new premium offerings, Aayush Supreme and Aayush Vardhan, contain 22% and 24% crude protein, respectively, providing superior nutrition at affordable prices.

Enriched with bypass fat, protein, yeast, enzymes, vitamins, and minerals, the feed is designed to significantly improve milk quality and overall cattle health, Kasinathan added.

Dairy Network

MilkLane’s Aayush cattle feed currently operates with a network of over 10,000 farmers, 250+ retailers, and more than 50 distributors.

These figures are projected to double in FY24-25, highlighting the company’s commitment to advancing farmer success and driving market growth, according to Harish Sharma, CFO and Business Head for MilkLane Dairy Services Pvt Ltd.
