Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has unveiled the ‘GRAM-2026’ initiative, a global agri-tech platform aimed at connecting farmers with experts, investors, and policymakers to boost income through innovation, technology, and collaboration. Scheduled from May 23 to 25 in Jaipur, the Global Rajasthan AgriTech Meet will serve as a unified platform enabling farmers to access global expertise, advanced agricultural practices, and modern technologies.

The government will deploy awareness vehicles at the gram panchayat level from April 15 to disseminate information on farmer welfare schemes and collect direct feedback. Rajasthan’s strong agricultural base was highlighted, with the state ranking first in millet, mustard, oilseeds, barley, and guar production; second in moong and groundnut; and third in soybean.

The initiative also underscores ongoing infrastructure and support efforts, including micro-irrigation systems across 4.8 lakh hectares, 12,476 water harvesting tanks, and over 32,918 km of irrigation pipelines. Under livestock initiatives, more than 1.2 million animals have been insured free of cost, while nearly 6 million animals have received treatment benefiting over 1.5 million livestock owners.

Additionally, dairy producers are receiving ₹5 per litre under the Mukhyamantri Dugdh Utpadak Sambal Yojana, while farmers benefit from ₹6,000 annually under PM-Kisan along with ₹3,000 from the state scheme, with plans to increase support further.

The state has also attracted significant investment interest, with 2,539 MoUs worth over ₹430 billion signed in the agriculture sector during the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit.

The GRAM-2026 initiative reflects a strategic push toward technology-driven agriculture, improved farmer engagement, and global integration, positioning Rajasthan as a key player in India’s evolving agri-tech ecosystem.
