DK Milk Union earmarked Rs 6 crore for cattle insurance scheme.

Dakshin Kannada Union (DK Union) will launch cattle insurance drive for its members from June 1( world milk day) . The union has earmarked Rs 6 Crores for the same. The Union will contribute 75% for the premium and the farmers will have to mobilize 25% only. The scheme will protect the farmers against the calamities arising out of cattle deaths and leading to farmer’s suicide in extreme cases.
