Dairy farmers in Udaipur village near Guwahati are in bad shape due to Corona

A small cluster of dairy farmers around 13 kms from the district center are in very bad shape due to COVID-19. Their main target segment are from HORECA segment i.e Tea, sweets shop, hotels  and restaurants. They are unable to serve to them and they do not have enough of cold storage to convert  excess milk into products also. Some of them have recently got their animals under NABARD DEDS scheme in January 2020 and they paid for insurance also. Now in current situation it is too difficult for them to feed animals as well as service the loan in the future. These farmers are also apprehensive of their animals getting FMD ( Foot and mouth diseases) at their cluster.
