1.5 Degree unveils plant-based dairy range

In a significant move in India’s alternative dairy segment, plant-based startup 1.5 Degree has debuted an innovative range of dairy-free products at the 7th India International Hospitality Expo held at India Expo Centre, Greater Noida from August 3–6, 2024.
The company introduced a comprehensive portfolio of plant-based frozen desserts and beverages, including oat milk, soy milk, cold coffee, flavored milkshakes, and gelato in multiple flavours such as paan, Belgian chocolate, strawberry, Biscoff, and mocha almond fudge.
These products are positioned as healthy alternatives to conventional dairy, catering to rising demand driven by factors like lactose intolerance, calorie concerns, and increasing preference for vegan options. The entire range is gluten-free, cholesterol-free, eco-friendly, and 100% vegan, developed with a strong focus on taste-centric innovation.
Founder & Director Vedansh Goyal highlighted that the brand aims to meet evolving consumer demand for dairy-free products without compromising on taste, while aligning with sustainability goals such as reducing global warming to 1.5°C.
The company has also partnered with NIFTEM and the Government of India to establish a state-of-the-art facility meeting international standards, enabling scale and wider reach. Industry experts, including culinary leaders, have endorsed the products for their taste and alignment with health-focused food trends, signaling strong potential for plant-based dairy alternatives to gain mainstream traction in India.
