Animall Turns Cattle Trade Into a ₹565-Crore Venture

Two IIT Delhi graduates have turned a fragmented cattle-trading market into a digital agritech business valued at around ₹565 crore. Animall, founded by Neetu Yadav and Kirti Jangra, began as a small weekend project in 2019 after the founders identified a major gap in India’s largely unorganised cattle market, where farmers often relied on local traders, personal contacts and word-of-mouth to buy and sell animals.

The founders, who studied Civil Engineering at IIT Delhi and graduated in 2016, initially pursued corporate careers before turning to entrepreneurship. Animall’s concept was first developed during a hackathon, followed by discussions with hundreds and eventually thousands of dairy farmers, leading to a vernacular-first digital marketplace designed for rural users and first-time smartphone users.

The platform has since expanded beyond cattle buying and selling into animal healthcare, artificial insemination, cattle grading, insurance and financing-related services, with the aim of creating a broader ecosystem for dairy farmers. A 2026 report cited more than 180,000 cattle listed for sale, while earlier reports highlighted more than one million buyer-seller connections.

Animall has attracted investment from Beenext, Sequoia Capital India, Omnivore, Nexus Venture Partners and others. According to an Invest India profile cited in the report, the company started with ₹50 lakh in pre-seed funding in January 2020 and subsequently raised ₹167.3 crore; in 2022, founders Neetu Yadav and Kirti Jangra were also featured in Forbes India’s 30 Under 30 agritech category.
