Union Minister Amit Shah highlighted that 6.5 crore rural families involved in milk production remain outside the cooperative sector, often facing exploitation due to unfair pricing. Of the 8 crore rural families in dairy farming, only 1.5 crore are in cooperatives. Shah urged the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) to ensure fair value for all dairy producers. Speaking in Anand, Gujarat, at NDDB’s Diamond Jubilee and the birth anniversary of AMUL founder Tribhuvandas Patel, he credited Patel’s cooperative model for empowering women farmers. Shah stated that White Revolution 2.0 aims to support 1 lakh new and existing dairies and expand milk routes. He inaugurated new NDDB projects, including a Mother Dairy processing plant in Vadodara and a polyfilm plant in Delhi, and launched Gir Ghee from Mother Dairy and Badri Ghee from Uttarakhand Cooperative Dairy. and many more news can be downloaded here:
