KMF Rolls Out New Nutrient-Focused Dairy Range
The Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) has launched a new range of dairy products focused on nutrition, quality and transparency, aiming to meet evolving consumer demand for health-oriented dairy options and clearer product information. The launch underscores a strategic push by one of India’s largest milk cooperatives to innovate while strengthening trust across its supply chain.
The Karnataka Cooperative Milk Producers Federation (KMF) has launched a new range of nutrient-focused dairy products under the Nandini brand in January 2026, featuring high-protein N-Pro Milk, probiotic curd/lassi, and premium ghee. These products aim to meet growing health-conscious demand, including medium-fat paneer and, in 2025, plans for lactose-free milk, Greek yogurt, and protein-packed, shelf-stable items.
The new portfolio includes fortified milk variants, high-protein dairy drinks, probiotic curd products and nutrient-enhanced flavoured milks, formulated to deliver specific health benefits such as bone strength, digestion support and energy enhancement. KMF has emphasised clear nutritional labelling and digital traceability features, enabling consumers to access detailed product information via QR codes — from milk source and processing dates to nutrient profiles — promoting informed choices.
According to KMF leadership, the emphasis on nutrition aligns with rising consumer awareness around protein needs, gut health and dietary balance, particularly among urban households, fitness-focused segments and families seeking fortified options for children and ageing adults. The transparency initiative is designed to build brand trust and differentiate KMF products in a competitive dairy market where quality and authenticity are key purchase drivers.
The launch also comes amid broader sector trends where dairy cooperatives and private processors are increasingly investing in value-added formats, functional dairy foods and digital engagement with consumers, responding to long-term shifts in dietary preferences. KMF’s latest expansion is expected to strengthen retail presence across Karnataka and neighbouring states, while encouraging wider adoption of nutrient-rich dairy categories by health-conscious consumers.
