DAIRY NEWS 5 member ministerial committee to decide cow dung rates in Chhattisgarh

Chhattisgarh has done exemplary work under Narva,Garuva,Ghuruwa, Badi scheme . Under this scheme cow sheds were established in 2200 villages. 5000 more cowsheds will be established in the state in the next 2-3 months

The state government is planning to make cow rearing sustainable in the state. Chief minister Bhupesh Bhagel will launch a scheme to buyback cow dung from the farmers on the festival of Hareli. The rates of cow dung for buying back will be fixed by a five member IAS team in the next eight days.

Urban development department will be responsible for the purchasing of cow dung from the farmers. . The department will convert this cow dung into vermi compost. Urban development department will also be responsible to prevent stray animals roaming in the cities.
